My mission is to guide healers and mamas who have lost themselves back to their calling and return to their natural magic, allowing their highest self to emerge.
Happy Winter Solstice, we’ve made it to the longest day of darkness and now it is time to welcome back the light. It is also the day of The Great Conjunction, where Jupiter and Saturn line up at the same sign, Aquarius, at the same degree, 0. There will be a kazillion predictions of what this means for humanity and you can read all about them all over the webs. What I am writing is and always will be from my experience, my lens, my reality and if it resonates, beautiful, if it doesn’t, I’m sure there are spaces and words that do. Find them as they’re seeking you in return.
This year has been full of heaviness, loss, pain, anger, grief and deep exploration, for me, my family and the collective. It has also been one of the most magical, loving, connection-filled, fun, expansive and creative years I’ve had my entire life. It’s the year I gave up living for all the outside approval and started listening to the medicine inside. I’ve been asked to dig deep and let go of so many identities that I believed I needed to survive and start leaning in and embodying my souls purpose and path. It’s been the year I decided to follow through with my missions and my dreams. It’s the year of intentional living and calling in all the things that have been floating around in my ether for so, so long.
It was the year I got the closest I’ve ever been to my sister and also the year she transitioned to work her light from the other side. My mama always said my sister was an angelic being, from the day she entered Earth. She was the sunshine for so many and she was certainly the light for me in my darkest days. My sister was the lighthouse that stood strong and solid and shined brightly in all my moments of despair and desperation. She was the light worker, the way shower, the starseed of our family and though her human believed she had lots of holes, doubts and darkness, for me she will forever remain the light.
So this is what I talked to my niece about soon after my sister passed. If our idea, if our hope of the greatest miracle was that my sister would stay, then there must be an even greater miracle our pea brains can’t even imagine on its way. Lily agreed. That’s the light she taught us to see.
Her life taught me that you can seek the light even in the darkest of nights. That it is always there for you to access and to be. She taught me to look on the bright side and to stay there even when everyone else is looking deep into the hole.
My life has taught me that the light has always been within, we’ve just covered it up with belief systems that no longer serves us. It is ok to be happy and excited when the world is telling you its not. It’s ok to be fully yourself in all your silly, light, creative, joyful glory and not worry about what the outside will say.
I see my daughter be it all the time and it reminds me that I have that within me. We have it within all of us.
We’re walking a path towards a lighter, brighter world starting today. Not just in 2020, not just because of the Winter Solstice, but in all of humanity. I believe this to be my truth from the cells in my body that jump in joy each time I say it. And when you feel good in a belief, you know it is good for you. I’m laying down the neural pathways for this route because honestly there is no other way for me to exist when I chose to steward a babe through this crazy amazing world.
I see commercials and stories about the worst of the worst. People and news telling us how broken, sick, poor, sad, weak we are as a collective. How we need the outside world of pills, shots, stimulus, systems to ‘fix’, ‘heal’, ‘save’ us. It’s disturbing and disempowering to see and hear. And even more heartbreaking to know that I was once part of the formula that got us here, convincing people they ‘needed’ me to heal and be healthy.
In The Queens Gambit, Jolene is a fierce character who brings the light boldly and beautifully. She says something that I believe is the perfect close out to this year,
Looks like you are at the bottom of a f*cking hole. And it’s looking a lot like you dug it yourself. My advice? Stop digging.
Jolene, The Queens Gambit
If you look for something long enough, you’ll find it. If you dig deep enough, you’ll keep seeing the bottom.
Stop digging.
All of us, stop digging. We’ve dug a hole to the bottom and its time to stop.
LOOK UP!!
Stop listening to the noise outside and start hearing the wisdom inside you. It’s easier to remember when you actually go outside and see the sun, feel its warmth and its power. Sun medicine is a real thing, check it out and see if it resonates. Surround yourself with people who feel like sunshine so you feel the energy to reflect it back. Consume food, stories, songs, ideas, books that light you up from the inside. Follow people on the socials who inspire, uplift and make you laugh, who are shining so brightly you finally feel permission to do the same.
Vibrate higher daily. We are what we consume. Search for ways to make the vibe higher each moment of the day.
Laughter, smiling, meditating, drinking filtered water, cocao, dancing, shaking, EFT, a green juice, hugging, crying, releasing, writing, creating, communing, exercising, being in nature, breathing fresh air and on and on. You get to pick how to vibrate higher daily.
If you want to know the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.
Nikolas Tesla
Tesla had it aligned in mind, body and soul. The future we seek will be all about energy, frequency and vibration. We’re all sparks from the same star, rays from the central sun, both Earth side and beyond. We’re all the same. Our human minds all worry about the same things: loss, less, never, worthiness, what the other will think, money, love, success, security, safety, health, relationships. While our souls wish for us to step into our natural birthright: fun, love, abundance, expansion, freedom, peace, connection, community, joy, creativity and flowing with what feels good.
All this to say that we are the light we’ve been waiting for. We have always been and now is our time to shine. Be it and see what happens. Take it in through small doses on a moment to moment basis. When we do something unfamiliar like feeling good, the brain gets involved and wants to control things.
Baby steps. Or not. Be bold and loud and consistent in your shining brightly. We invite it all. You know what to be.
From this day forward, be the light you wish to see in the world. I love you and I see you and I can’t wait to shine along side you.
My mission is to guide healers and mamas who have lost themselves back to their calling and return to their natural magic, allowing their highest self to emerge.
