Today we’re returning to the breath. All of the medicine inside will be free, accessible to all and always available, the key is in the practice. To me, the breath was the most powerful way to get patients to release any and all anxiety, stress, worry and frustration in my practice. But it was only when it became part of my being that it was effective, as practice what you teach and preach is a real thing.
In our current society, we’ve been trained to take shallow breaths. This is in preparation for the ‘other shoe to drop’, the brain believes it is protecting you. Complete, full, intentional conscious breaths equal a deeper, calmer, clearer human experience. All you have to do is take a beat and focus in. This is the only breathing technique you have to remember and it will take you through everything. Longer exhale is key as it takes you to the parasympathetic mode which calms your nervous system. Close your eyes, take some time for yourself and exhale, exhale, exhale longer than your inhale.
