Do you know about energy circles? It’s a concept I’ve been playing with since last year. It allows you to create a visual about where you place your energy, thoughts, ideas, momentum, creativity and essence. You are in the center and lines extend out to those people, projects or experiences you most focus on. Energy flows where attention goes.

Last year, I was in the center, two lines for Bean and J, one line for my sister and one for my mama. Everyone else, everything else including screen time, socials, compound, loved ones were there, but only after my cup was ran over and my immediate channels were met.

After my sister transitioned, her lines shifted to her two youngest and their kiddos and stayed with my mama. BEing in Mexico really allowed me to focus my energy and attention on both the physical and astral plane into all my loved ones. Beyond the lines that were drawn.

My energy circle became vast and abundant, just like the ocean down the way from where we were living.

Then I returned to Austin, a place that feels very heavy and constricting, shallow and stuck to me. My energy circle with me inside needed to expand, but instead, I’ve just ended up drawing more lines for people and projects that require more attention than I can muster at this time.

Wherever you go, there you are.

This is my greatest lesson. As a wanderluster, world traveler, nomadic queen of itchy feet, I always felt like moving my physical body to a new space or place would allow for more. More success, more abundance, more creativity, more connections, more fun, more, more, more. Often it did, but just for a while, then it was back to me being with me, my one and only.

So I’m checking out for a while. Checking out to check back in. Check in with my inner voice, with my soul, with my heart. Focus my energy on me, our babe, our little fam and the loved ones afar.

It feels good to release those lines that were so quickly drawn when I landed in hustlelandia.
